Today marks Day of the Latin American Image of Women in Media.
Although, at present the participation and presence of women in the media is growing, remains small.
The reality of women are telling the men from his view, from their perspective, reflecting a distorted image that promotes conservative and sexist damages relating to the role women should play in society based upon a narrow range of stereotypes.
If we really believe that both women and men have equal rights, we encourage, from all levels, recognition of the same social role, with the same responsibilities, with equal hopes and aspirations, and el mismo nivel de confianza que deben de tener en sí mismos/as.
Como sociedad debemos luchar para que la mujer tome en los medios el lugar que realmente merece, mujer critica, con libertad de expresión y elección, sin ningún tipo de sometimiento.
