From 1998, May 30 marks the National Day of Organ Donation . The date has been set up to commemorate the birth of the son of the first female liver transplanted into a public hospital in Argentina. This is taken to symbolize the possibility of life after receiving a transplant.
Organ donation not only allows humans to save or improve their quality of life, but also to continue the life cycle. To this end, transplant patients and waiting list organize activities to convey the message of solidarity, towards a donor community.
